A super-fast pasta dish. Maybe one could blanch or fry the garlic before using it in this pesto as it's quite pungent.

Pasta with Brokkoli-Pesto

Adapted from Frisch und Leicht by Donna Hay

1 small head of brokkoli, cut into florrets, stem peeled and cut into slices
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
250 g pasta
parmesan cheese

Blanch the brokkoli. In a food processor, blitz together the brokkoli, garlic, olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Toss with the cooked pasta and serve with some parmesan.

Perfect dish for a quick and light dinner, Andreas - thanks for sharing.

I agree with you about the garlic ... it can be almost bitter and biting on the tongue without softening it in a bit of hot butter or oil ... otherwise a nice plate of pasta!

I have a love affair with broccoli that runs very deep. I will definitely have to try this dish during our 6 month run.

Looks truly wonderful...and roasted garlic would be great in this as well. Beautiful photo!

I think it's fun to make pesto with non-traditional ingredients. Have never made it with broccoli before--I like the idea!
